How Much Would You Pay

In the near future, we will be selling our coffee at quite a few markets around the Portland area. The question is - what should we sell our coffee for at these stores? As I'm sure you're aware, most coffee is sold in 12oz bags - not our current 1lb (16oz). Prices vary from store to store and from one part of town to the other - what would you expect to see from us? We will eventually be switching over to 12oz as this is what people are most use to so this is what we are primarily concerned with.
What would you pay if you had never heard of us and what would it take to get you to switch? Judging by our new look, who do you see us being compared to? Having tasted the coffee and quality - who do we compete with? Obviously, we've put quite a bit of time into this and any extra thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Guato!!! A 12 oz bag is too small. I live in Texas where things are larger than usual. Don't stoop to the common size. Sell the 16 oz bag for $9 even.
Guato!!!, i too live in texas, and would have to agree with the anonymous comment. Having a 16 oz bag is your comparative advantage!!! All other companies have the 12 oz, why not make a statement with the 16 oz. PLus you have vaccuum packed seals, so the coffee is not going to go bad. How many times have you had people over and not had enough coffee for your guests because the bag only has 12 oz. you don't want to buy a whole other bag just for a few oz. THink about it, comparative advantage for Nossa Familia would be to continue the sale of 16 oz.
I would have to agree with both of those comments...why not keep that "nossa familia's" thing....
The way we go through coffee around here, you gotta sell the 16oz. have an edge over the other guys...
i like the 16 oz too, BUT i don't think people would pay $3 or $4 more for it even though it is more coffee. i personally think that most people would just say "too expensive" and buy something else...my 2 cents.
