Let’s go Mountain Biking in Brazil! Just when the weather starts getting cold and rainy in November this year, Augusto will be heading to warm and tropical Brazil to guide a personal biking tour of his family’s farm and surrounding region. Picture yourself riding on beautiful terrain, among coffee plants, tropical forests and hillsides with amazing vistas. The package is all inclusive, and you’ll be experiencing the best of Brazilian culture, eating great home-style Brazilian meals as well as great coffee, local beer and drinks to help recoup some of the burnt calories. It will be a very personalized tour with a small group of around 10-15 people.

Cafe au Play

Nossa Familia is excited to announce its support for Café au Play! Café au Play is a nonprofit organization that will be opening a coffeehouse in South East Portland with the goal of providing a welcoming, comfortable environment where children and adults can gather on a daily basis, develop lasting relationships and exchange resources. Proceeds from the coffee bar will help provide funding for Café au Play; patrons will design and lead activities; families will connect to services and support networks. In short, a great community spot to foster a stronger neighborhood, and a great fit for Nossa Familia Coffee. This Month all our donation proceeds from local coffee stores will benefit Café au Play!

Café au play will be carrying Nossa Familia coffee in it’s café and we look forward to helping them kick off their café and will keep you up to date on an upcoming coffee tasting fundraiser!

The Café au Play Model:

Café au Play begins with the premise that one of the best ways to support children is to nurture connections among caregivers, promote the mental health of parents, and empower people of all ages to see themselves as both givers and receivers of resources. We want to foster spontaneous and genuine community among families in Portland, reaching out to under-served and isolated families.

Armory Cafe at the Gerding Theater

Located inside the historic Gerding Theater at the Armory (128 NW 11th Ave, Portland, OR), the Cafe is a comfortable, casual place to relax in the midst of a hectic day, or before a show. From pastry to panini, salad to savories their menu is crafted from seasonal products grown, caught or crafted in the Northwest. And of course now you can enjoy the best coffee in town in arguably one of the most impressive buildings.
