Mother's Day is just around the corner (Sunday, May 13th) so we decided to honor not just a mother, but the matriarch of all mothers - Mathilde. My great-grandmother Mathilde was a Mother to 11, grandmother to 41, and great-grandmother to 87 - yes, do the math and you can figure how many cousin’s I have :). Mathilde was born way back in 1888 when electricity and cars were things of a distant future, she lived and witnessed many amazing changes in her 103 full years of life. The thing that did not change was her caring ways and dedication, keeping our huge family very close together, through the good times and through the rough times, and, whenever you stopped by for a visit to her house, she would welcome family and friends alike, she hosted heads of state, and beggars with the same delight, treating them to the same treasure of our family, a rich cup of coffee, and great candid conversation with a century worth of wisdom to share. |

Augusto will be at the Whole Foods on Burnside tomorrow from 10am to 2pm giving out samples of our award winning coffee. The sampling also kicks off our relationship with Whole Foods as our coffee will now be on the shelves. Come visit at 1210 NW Couch. |

Big things are always in the works for us. We've had some great accomplishments (new markets and cafes) in the first 4 months of this year to say the least! We've got another big announcment up our sleeves. Unfortunately, we won't tell you quite yet...but stay tuned. May is the season for great news and it's only a few weeks away! |
